Working with the Charts panel
The Charts panel is where you can view Stream data graphically. To get started, select the Charts panel check box next to the Measure you want to chart in the Configuration panel.
Understanding the Charts panel layout
The Charts panel has several important tools for exploring your Stream data.
- The time range selector allows you to select the range of time you'd like view data for down to the microsecond. By default, the time range selected will also sync to the Table panel. You can toggle this sync off in the "Apply this interval to the table and chart" check box in the lower left of the time range selector box
- The Chart settings button opens a dialog box where you specify the number of samples displayed on the chart and which downsampling method you wish to use (Simple smooth or preserve peaks). - The chart canvas is where the Stream data is displayed graphically. To navigate the data:
- Click and drag anywhere on the canvas to move horizontally
- When hovered over a chart, hold control and scroll to zoom in and out
- To scroll up and down, use the scroll bar on the right side of the canvas
- You can also use the green quick bar on the bottom of the canvas to define a the range and zoom of data you wish to view
- To export a PNG of the data view you are currently in, click export image button
